An Evening of Enlightenment with Joel Bryant

I began the evening by opening with a short testimony of how Joels’ writing Doing the Dream was introduced into my life. I also shared how my dreams from 5 years ago had  been fulfilled due to my being persistent in following the keys Joel had given me  some 3 years ago.

I shared that not only had I reclaimed a new “dream job”, but I had gained success  in my new business in a down economy. Only by my commitment of  following the keys of doing my dream would they be fulfilled.  I also shared my personal love story of two dreamers who would meet,  fall in love and marry due to having the same dreams.  I shared my recent marriage to Jim Acuff on Feb. 14th of 2009 and how he was the original sender of Joel’s writing Doing the Dream.  A very small world where  2 people were determined to gain their dreams.

I began Joel’s introduction with the reading of his writing Doing the Dream and then played a 1 minute video commercial of Michael Jordans “Maybe”. (Check it out by clicking here!)

What’s your excuse?

Joel then took over and lectured to us for the next 90 minutes on the keys to succeed at doing your dream.  Wow!  He was ON and he was great! For those who have not heard Joel before  you must listen intently as he is a man of  many words and deep content that provokes one to truly get face to face with one’s self.   What’s your excuse?  Time, kid’s, failed marriage, family issues, friends,  fear, not enough money,  some ex beau or girlfriend, not enough heart, not enough soul!   I was totally engrossed by his words as usual and found myself planning to be much more definitive for my dreams that I want over the next 3 years.     After the lecture I provided a wine and cheese tasting that was hosted by Genie O’Shaunessey and Margaret Stafford from EarthFare.  Everyone came out and had a chance to talk to Joel and view his books.  For those wanting a book he was there to sign them and give them advice as to which would be the best read for them.  A great opportunity to meet this wonderful speaker and share some personal time!

Everyone truly had a great time.  So many sat around and discussed their dreams with each other and made commitments to make some changes in their lives to get the ball rolling to aquire thier dreams!
