June 23 Meeting Street Farmers Market @ Cedar Creek was a great day!
The Meeting Street Farmers Market at Cedar Creek was a beautiful day for shopping with our local farmers and vendors for sure! My husband Jim was out with me today! He purchased some of this wonderful cheese garlic bread from Flanagan’s Bread. Great Stuff. Jackson my 11 year old step son decided he would join in on the fun. He sold ice cold bottled water and came home with a pocket full of dough! We enjoyed teaching folks about the importance of buying local from our farmers and taught them about how much water you should consume everyday for good health. We learned about Bosky Acres soft goat cheese. It is made right here in Waxhaw and boy is it good!

Today was a day for beauties to be out! Take a look at this precious little shopper named Morgan who fit right in with all the beautiful flowers for sale!
The flowers are so beautiful! You must come out just to see them and buy them for $15.oo a bunch!!!! A good time was had buy all as the market held a steady pace all day long. We had beautiful weather with a small breeze that kept everything tolerable for the heat.
Jim got a great education today from Mike over at Bird Brain Ostrich Ranch. Can you believe that is a $20.00 Ostrich egg? You can actually eat from that egg for a whole 2 weeks!
Friends Milton Oats and Beth Rosenbrock strolled along check’in out the goodies before taking flight on vacation! See you when you get back! Have fun in Detroit! Take a few Carolina baked goods with you! Well life is so good. Just hope you will all come out and enjoy the market next week! Check back with us for updates on this market and the Ballantyne Hotels new Farmers Market on Saturday’s from 8-12:00! Untill next time… be in good health through an All NaturalBody! Candi
Meeting Street Farmers Market Makes Local WBTV 6:00PM News!
For those of you that thought the rain was going to hold up the Meeting Street Farmers Market for today well you thought WRONG! We had such a great time and WBTV was there to film all the excitement!
Let me start off this blog with an apology to my new friends Hillary and Kevin out at Barbee Farms! Last week I posted this photo and put Brent’s name under the photo with Hillary! Little did I know that Brent is engaged and Kevin was surely sad not to see his name in the headlines! Sorry Kevin and Hillary! Hey Kevin, you made the local WBTV NEWS tonight! I hope that makes up for it! Click on WBTV NEWS and check it out! You guys are great and I look forward to the tasty corn, pink and red tomatoes and little red potatoes I purchased! See you love birds next week!
Oh my gosh did Chef’s Joseph Morrow, David Moore and the gang from the Ballantyne Hotel and Lodge put out some serious pork from Grateful Growers! Michelle was there to help with educating the local buyers about the awesome Tamworth hog from Ireland. Joseph and David prepared the pork 7 different ways and we all had the privilege of sampling them all for free! I love doing my personal training at the Hotel! Not only do these guys prepare the best foods around but they support the local growers buy buying their products and have it on our own menu in the Gallery Restaurant ! Hats off guys! You are AWESOME!

Genie O’Shaughnessy from out at EarthFare was there to help me promote the local farmers today! We had a great time teaching the locals about the importance of buying local! EarthFare will be helping me with grocery store tours starting next week! Come out and enjoy learning about how to shop for local healthy food!
I just love Bill & Jeanette Reed from Freedom Farms over in Maiden, NC. They taught us about free range chickens and I bought 6 dozen of their eggs. With my bodybuilding show coming up Oct. 10th I need all of this awesome pure protein I can get! Jeanette’s home made goats milk soaps and salves are awesome! I go home with a bar almost every week!
Todd Mauldin from T & D Charolais has got the best grass fed beef around! My husband Jim loves his hamburger and today I left with 2 ribeye’s for Jim and 2 filet’s for me! Todd, I want to see my chef’s from the Ballantyne Hotel cook’in your steak one week soon! I know the locals will flip!
A great time was had by all and even with a small shower at 7:30pm the crowds still enjoyed the trumpet playing of Bill with Billies Pickles! They are good eat’in!
Well, hat’s off to Rob Lane for doing a great job with Meeting Street Farmers Market! He is such a great guy and supports the locals by caring enough to have this market! THANKS ROB!!!! YOU MY FRIEND ARE THE BEST!!! I am so proud to be a part of helping promote this market and the local grower. It is truly all about nutrition and putting a healthy lifestyle in front of each one of us so that we might be able to live longer and enjoy our lives in a more healthy, happy way. PLEASE come out to the market next week and enjoy meeting all your local farmers, artisans and the great Chef’s from the greatest Hotel around The Ballantyne Hotel & Lodge! What a joy to serve my community by helping others through better health and wellness! Until next week live healthy through a NATURALBODY!!!!

What a great time at the Farmers Market June 9th!

NaturalBody Personal Training Educational Booth! What a blast!

The boys from out of Pineville Sunshine Produce. Great white cucumbers! They sell homegrown.
The Meeting Street Farmers Market – Cedar Walk held yesterday was the best! If you missed it shame on you! I heard folks saying it was the best one so far! The weather was great and lots of vendors sold out of everything they had! Todd at T & D sold every steak he had and several fruit vendors left with pockets full of cash! Vegetables out of Barbee Farms looked great and Brent & Hillary were a joy to learn from about the ir farm out in Concord, NC!

Barbee Farms!
Grateful growers turned me onto an awesome salt free bacon sandwich with a sliced tomato from Barbee Farms! We had Ostrich meat from Bird Brain Ostrich Ranch out in Sherrill Ford, NC and Rabbit from Full Circle Farm out of Randy Travis land in Marshville, NC.

That IS an ostrich egg! Did you know that is a red meat!?

Rabbit anyone? Less calories!
Freedom Farms was hit bad this week by a fox which killed 27 hens and some heavy rains that did some damage to some heirloom seed plants. Bill and Jeannette Reed came on out with all their beautiful range free eggs and sold most everything in spite of the loss back home in Maiden, NC.
The hummus today was the best ever as I had that for dinner, and blooming flowers were abundant! Come on out next week for all the fun! Our Ballantyne Chefs will be back cooking from Grateful growers and I will be there to encourage all to buy from the local growers and do what they can to start getting in great shape and good health!
